This place was all I expected AND more!! Shout out to Wendi (with an I) and Dee! You guys rock almost as much as the wings. Between the three of us we tried 8 different flavors!! Oh my.....big and juicy. All the flavors we tried were great. And the Bloody Maria's are great in their own rite. I will be back sooner rather than later
Came from the New Haven area to try the wings. We tried 9 different flavors. Among them were: frogfather, peanut butter and sweet chili, peanut butter and captain crunch, buffalo garlic parm, maple bourbon and loaded fries. The only one that was a little disappointing was honey mustard. Service was on point, very friendly. Wings came out pretty quickly. Loved the atmosphere. Def a vibe. Just a little small
Intimately spaced pub serving top tier chicken wings. I tired the wings of the week special and they were delish. The old bay buffalo I think is my favorite so far. Thai chili is another good flavor. Kids had Chipotle honey and teriyaki, both were very flavorful and well prepared. Wings come hot, crunchy, and seasoned. Fries seasoned. Plenty on tap AND very friendly staff. I will return. Update: Returned immediately on 6/23. Tried the cowboy butter wings, absolutely taste like steak butter but on crispy wings. And of course had the buffalo old bay garlic. You can drink the homemade bluecheese its so good. I want to try every flavor before end of year.
I stumbled upon this place and when I seen that they were awarded best wings in town for 5 years straight thats what won me over because I love wings. Me entering the place was really welcoming. The food is amazing, the bartender is spectacular and friendly she made me a drink called pink princess and it was great. Overall experience was very good, its now my regular go to place.
The wings here are phenomenal. Their weekend specials are out of this world. Variety is wonderful to have when it comes to wings, and when the quality of the chicken is so high, the sheer madness of flavors is so creative and the perfect price so unbelievable, you’ll leave this place with a huge smile, full belly, and be thinking about these wings for days to come. Their drink selection and staff are phenomenal and very friendly. I couldn’t find a single thing to complain about. Highly recommend!
About The Groggy Frog...... best wings ever! I always get mild buffalo (flats only), my favorite. I try wings every place we go and nothing compares. They're cooked to perfection! Meaty, moist, crunchy, and just enough sauce. Some places petrify their wings, not here! They never disappoint. The staff is so relaxed and pleasant. Not uptight, just real. I appreciate Wendy's personality and passion. She genuinely likes her job and her customers. Today Wendy surprised me with a pistachio cosmo. I wasn't sure what I was in the mood for so she chose. Absolutely delicious!! Give this place a try! You won't be disappointed. All their food is really good. Especially those wings Thanks Wendy!! You're the best
Great staff, excellent food, excellent service and cheaper than what we typically pay for a night out. These negative comments were comical... If you can't afford to tip staff, you shouldn't go out for drinks/food come on. .75? You're really going to ask for the change back on a cheap drink? You should have left the piddly .75 and given them another dollar! Do people really think they should get a free drink for not liking the taste of a drink they ordered? What level of entitlement is this?!?
Best wings in CT, I grew up in Derby with Dew Drop inn, these wings are on par if not better than Dew Drop, and they are fairly priced in comparison. Been coming here weekly ever since. Best dive bar around!
